Throughout his life, education, and career, Matthew Lee Rosen has always had a natural skill and passion for the arts.
In his college years, Matt Rosen held a major focus and commitment to his artistic abilities. He enjoyed painting large canvases, often over six feet in length using mostly oil and acrylic paints. While he isn’t a big fan of the terms “caricature” and “pop-art”, Rosen concedes that his work generally fits best in the pop-art category.
Throughout his artistic career, Matthew Lee Rosen has been inspired by many great artists including Henri Toulouse Lautrec and Justin Hampton. Henri Toulouse Lautrec was a French painter, illustrator, and caricaturist, among other things, best known for his work in the Post-Impressionist period. One of his most famous pieces of work is the painting At the Moulin Rouge. Justin Hampton is a well-known poster artist who has collaborated with many famous rock musicians including Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Motorhead, and beyond.
Unlike many artists who like to leave interpretations up to the viewer, Matthew Lee Rosen puts great effort and thought into his titles so that he can share specific experiences with his audience. He wants his audience to understand exactly what he was thinking and feeling when he was painting the specific piece. Along with his artistic abilities, Matthew Lee Rosen is also skilled in the business world, with his own companies and business ideas including Fantag, BeerTAG, and fortheartofit. As an entrepreneur with experience in public relations, marketing, and advertising, he has been able to promote his artwork and the artwork of his peers effectively to widespread audiences.
During his art career, Matthew Lee Rosen spent a lot of time working in a variety of artistic settings with many museums and art galleries in his local community. He continues to hold onto all of his educational and professional experiences with art with hopes to make his next big idea an even greater success than the last.
